There have been times where I was critical of the Denis Hildeby selection, but my god, he is making me look like a fool right now. I know Jon Elkin pushed HARD for him, and I just never could see why. Him being in his DY+3 was a big part of that, and his numbers on paper werent great. Guess that's why Im on Capfriendly and he is employed by an NHL team. What a gem, I am a huge believer in this kid

Yeah, he’ll probably start with the Marlies but if he’s good enough he’d be great on the Leafs, as they don’t have many guys willing to fight. Reaves and Giordano are both getting old and sliding down the depth chart. Any idea why it’s spelled Grebyonkin and Grebenkin from different sources? I assume Grebyonkin is the correct spelling since that’s what is on the back of his jersey in the clip.

Grebyonkin is definitely willing to drop the mitts, but his game is not really based around his physicality. He's chippy in the same way that Kucherov is. He's more of a playmaker and generates chances off the rush. He is genuinely like a lite version of Kucherov

The spelling of Grebyonkin is different based on the Russian spelling vs. the anglicized spelling. You see this with quite a few Russian prospects. Leafs prospect Artur Akhtyamov is in the same boat (Akhtiamov)

I highly doubt that, I dont think he's a guy that would necessarily garner a ton of interest in a trade because he does fly so far under the radar. That and the fact he is probably the Leafs third best forward prospect at this point. He's one of our premium assets and fills a niche that no other forward prospect does

Last year we saw Abramov of all prospects go for ROR. Grebyonkin seems like a guy teams would be eyeing as he is a guy who I could see in an NHL bottom 6 in 1-2 years

If the right Dman comes along or if they going to get both Tanev + Zadorov 50% ret he probs going the other way with Abruzzese and some picks

There are zero universes where I would ever trade Greb for 2 pending UFAs that are of the quality of Zadorov or Tanev. HARD pass. Abramov is a good prospect who just didnt have any discernable role in Toronto. There is a clear path to the Leafs for Greb
