You do realize that Wood is an expiring UFA right?

That offer for Demko is laughable. Anything less than a 1st, a top RD prospect, and a goalie doesn't even get a reply. And Van has no need for Debrincat or his cap hit

In the end, spending a 7th OA pick, 39th OA pick and Nick Paul for a goalie would be very Dorion-like

A goalie that Anton Forsberg has outplayed overall in the last 2 seasons

And OP, you can select 2023-24 instead of doing this ACGM like you did

No way Sens trade Brannstrom and Jarventie for Miles Wood, even if he wasn't UFA

Brannstrom is quality and Jarventie has very good potential

Demko was literally a bad goalie in the league this year acting like getting a legit star for him is a ridiculously bad offer is so funny. He may bounce back, but he was BADDDD this year

0 reason for VAN to do that. No one in their right mind is looking at VAN this year and saying "Clearly the goaltending without Demko is fine, what they need is more wingers!"

1. The Demko trade is bad for both teams.

2. New Jersey fleeces you

3. Washington is not giving TVR away for free.

Demko was literally only bad his first 15 games when he was dealing with an injury while playing. After his return from injury he was back to playing like an elite goalie (6th in overall GSAx, 7th in overall GSAA, 5th in 5v5 GSAx, 8th in 5v5 GSAA after returning from injury). He already has bounced back

Canucks have no intention of trading Demko so no needed to prepare to be dissapointed

Weird way to describe saving his horrific numbers with 6 GSAx in 2 games against the actively tanking Ducks and Blackhawks at the end of the year. I'm unmoved.

After coming back from his injury he had 3 good games right away, then was again bad the next 11 games, and then had 3 good games vs 2 tanking teams to end the season

Setting aside the fact that you have the Caps giving away TVR for free right after re-signing him, how do you have him on a 1 year $950K deal when he just signed a 3 year $9M contract? Literally, I'm not even sure how you'd change a player's contract in an ACGM?

So he was bad when he saved 25/26 shots against Dallas? Or 38/40 against LA? Or 25/27 against Dallas? He had a couple bad games against Calgary, St Louis, and Vegas, but was very good when he returned outside of a few games. It’s clear you don’t watch many Canucks games

when he saved 25/27 against dallas that was a -ve GSAx game. Very few dangerous chances.

Canucks will take the return worthy of a star or keep him. No upside to the trade for the Canucks. Also, Demko had some bad games, but rebounded after returning from injury, and played behind a terrible defense. The guy is legit. There are GMs who get that.

Good because if the price is anywhere close to "Anything less than a 1st, a top RD prospect, and a goalie doesn't even get a reply" the other Canucks fan was suggesting, I'd rather look somewhere else

Hold on. OTT just paid a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Debrincat... Now you're saying he isn't worth something like that?

Its the wrong package for the Canucks. Its laughable to think VAN does that kind of move. They dont need him. They need picks, RD and some sort of goalie if they move Demko. The very last thing they want is another expensive winger.

Why are you talking about DeBrincat value when we are talking about Demko value? lol

AGAIN, not talking about Vancouver needs but the ridiculous value you were setting up...

Unless you are talking about a playoffs team 1st, a prospect like Thomson and a non-star goalie

Following the NHL for decades teaches you that goalies don't have comparative value as star forwards

Reading helps man. The trade being discussed is Demko for Debrincat, so obviously Debrincat's value has to be close to Demko's if you're defending the trade. Try and keep up.

The point is completely flying over your head and don't think I can find any way to explain it to you so let's just move on
