Youre delusional if you think the Sens were a playoff team next year WITH Cat. Without him, id just sell the older pieces and do the rebuild properly

Hmmm, Yes I think deBrincat would sign in Detroit in a heartbeat because it is his hometown and they are already half way through a rebuild. The question is would Yzerman want him? If he does i don't think he would give up any 2023 1st round pick. I think he would for the 2024 1st rounder and maybe the 2023 vancouver 2nd rounder like you have there. The problem is Zadina doesn't score that much. Ottawa wants players that can pop it in and play both ways and are bigger than a keebler elf. The only guy that I can think of on the LW that Ottawa might like to go with those two picks is Domonik Kubalik. 20 goals, 25 assists but a minus 15. 6 foot 2 inches and 27 isn't too old for that team. I wouldn't go any older though and a low cap hit and signed for 2 more years. I think the sens would want someone that has 20 goals or more.
This might be a better middle ground for both teams. Maybe?
