I would rather keep Johansen. Kuznetsov is the same age and doesn't really push the needle to speed up our retool, especially expiring in two years

keeping Johansen as a locker room guy and leader is a much better option

edit: I didn't even see the Vlad contract oh my lord baby what is we doing here

lol the hardest no from Washington

edit: ok maybe not "the hardest no" but downgrading from Kuz to RyJo doesn't scream "big move" like MacLellan has been talking about. Fully expecting the Caps to be in on Schmaltz and Ehlers, and I could see Kuz going to Winnipeg in an Ehlers trade to replace PLD
