I'm with you on the Brouwer to Vegas train, at whatever cost. Don't believe it should be a 2nd rounder though. It sounds like the CLB deal with Vegas includes a 1st rounder, but they've got some signficant young players to try to protect. So if that's the price to avoid taking: Anderson, Karlsson, Johnson, Forsberg (G), and Korpisalo (G)....then the Flames should be able to pay a prospect and/or a later pick (4th round) and/or some Brouwer salary retention to entice Vegas.

The bigger issue may be that CGY actually still wants Brouwer on the roster...which is another problem entirely.
