Detroit's not getting Connor Bedard, We're only 1 and 2 points out of 12th and 13th overall.
That definitely doesn't get both Connor and Pionk. If we wanted Connor it would probably cost us Lucas Raymond and then some.

No, winning no matter when, is important for confidence and morale. Honestly that's why I think Yzerman signed so many free agents to try and improve the team but knowing we weren't going to be a playoff team. Build a winning atmosphere for the young guys

I still think Detroit could've been a playoff team if we had full seasons from Bert and Vrana. But injuries happen. And Vrana.... well that's another story.

I don't disagree but I don't think we were meant to compete. Just play better hockey and try and win more games than last year, or at least not get smoked as much.

Not getting good goaltending from Ned hurt as well. He's playing lights out right now but I don't think Stevie can trust he'll keep this play up next season.

I think they should resign him to a two year, 1.125M contract. That way if he plays well he's super cheap but if he doesn't he can go to Grand Rapids and not cost anything on the cap and likely doesn't get picked up. We still need a goalie for Grand Rapids anyways.
