DNVR RMR 2023 TDL

Created by: Skywalker87
Team: 2022-23 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 17, 2023
Published: Feb. 18, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Landy comes back, but EJ on season ending LTIR.

1) Henrique, dont like the 2nd yrs but with double retention its okay. Done business with the ducks before and getting Thrun to help rebuild that prospect pipeline is important too

2) Prospect swap for defense pipeline strength

3) Getting van to weaponize capspace, get a defenseman with rfa rights and prospect, for a prospect, pick and LOC hurts but... LOC just hasnt taken then step above a 4th line guy. Sucks but Vancouver will love the cheap term.

4) 2023 1st and mcdermit who just hasnt played well for a player with a term and cheap.

Couldnt keep the 1sts but rebuilding that defensive pipeline, adding a fwd prospect and getting 2 guys on cheap deals for next yr was important.

Drury passes, from NYR perspective it doesn't really make sense.

What do you think a fair return for Jones would be? In general, not just avs specific

I can buy that. Butni would probably keep the 4th/send it somewhere for the double retention

Yeah there just really isn't any value here for us, Bear has been a gem so far and fits a huge org need, don't think we are ready to give up on Hoglander either

Like a lower tier 2nd maybe? If they feel like they should move him / he requests a trade (let's face it more likely to happen)
Or solid bott 6 player like a Christian Fischer ish player. At least this is what I think. He done well in AHL when he was sent down and still more likely to play in NHL than M. Robertson.
