While the idea may seem great on paper, I don't think the Habs needs to acquire another goalie. Allen and Montembeault are signed for next year and are NHL caliber. While they might not be superstars Allen still remains a bonafide 1B/2A while Montembeault has been playing waaaay over his head for like the past 2 months now. I think a team like Buffalo or Ottawa would be more fit for a similar transaction involving Blackwood.

Anaheim deal is great for both sides and I think there's maybe 1 or 2 more pieces missing in the Meier deal coming from New Jersey. Maybe a 2nd and another prospect or late pick would be more appropriate for the type of value Meier is worth for.
