Isles cannot afford to extend Meier, don’t see him as an option and Fasching has been solid in his role, he should keep playing on the 4th line.

Only way trading for Meier would make sense from an money perspective is if they found a way to offload Bailey’s contract, which would increase the cost of the trade even more. And the cost of trading for Meier is already pretty high.
