Woah, looks like you forgot to acquire Nikita Zaitsev and Ottawa's 2024 2nd round pick + 2024 4th round pick in exchange for future considerations!

In all seriousness though, if Bedard goes out west, I'm happy. I always feel like Comtois has more to offer. Like the potential is there to be a premier powerfoward but something is lacking. Hoping Drysdale stays healthy.

              No Simon Benoit?

No team is paying a first for Klingberg at 50% retention, and Foegele as a dump is not worth a first. Klingberg has played poor this year and Edmonton has lost interest in him due to that. NHL Insiders reported Edmonton is no longer interested in him, as oilers are looking for a more defensive minded backend. We already have Barrie who is having a great year. And Bouchard behind him, oilers decline that deal.

Jets will want Beaulieu too, they probably want to get the band back together for a playoff run... 😁

That's why I used the word 'optimistic' to describe this ACGM.

It's a bright future, but no matter how you slice it, the Ducks need to go get a shutdown RHD for the next 3)4 seasons this year. I also think we should go pick up a complementary LHD for Drysdale for a season like Reilly from Boston. Helleson could use another season in the A and Zells should get some pro time before coming up to the show.

I'd tweak the forward lines to be
              Henrique-Zegras-Terry
              Bedard-McTavish-Strome
              Comtois-Gawdin-Vatrano
              Jones-Lundestrom-Foegele

I really do believe that Comtois has more to show, he just need a consistent role on a scoring line. He should stay on Zegras' wing, but adding Bedard and keeping Henrique around complicates that.
