Flyers say no. TK is the better player here. They are not taking on Anderson and his contract, getting a B Prospect and a late round pick 2 years from now. Flyers would need to get a quality player back and if MTL wants to dangle its pick in 23 or 24 maybe.

I really feel the Horvat trade set the precedent for what a TK trade will look like. A lottery protected first round pick, a top prospect, and a serviceable player to start.

Unfortunately this is a trade Chuck Fletcher would make..........but then Flyers fans would murder him (and rightfully so)

Florida’s first is similar to the one the Isles gave up (quite a bit better though considering it comes with no conditions and is likely a top 12 pick) so that pick along with Farrell who is one of the best prospects in college hockey would be very similar to Ratty and the conditional 1st. That’s a good start. Beauvillier is a middle 6 winger who will be 26 in a few months. Dvorak just turned 27 today and is a middle 6 C. I think this deal could work. Let’s go with:

SJ: Meier

Mtl: 2023 1st (FLA), Dvorak, Farrell and a 2025 2nd.

Am I missing a presser where Kent Hughes said the team was a buyer?

Mtl have no f**king interest into TK. Anderson, Harris and the first round pick fill more important position needed them one Winger. Mtl are about years 1 or 2 of rebuild and they still have atleast 3 to 4 more years to do. That not the kind of trade you do.
