Probs would be Murray/Comrie or Murray/Hill and Hill honestly wouldnt be the worst guys got starting goaltender potential.

Either way Dubas would have got someone

But of all goalies we have had one has done it all and won his team 2 cups. If anyone can help Toronto is Murray as while Sammy is young and well his playoff stats are questionable. Healths an issue but if Murray can just come back and play and both compete off eachother having a good tandem going into playoffs never a bad thing

Unless Connor Hellybuyck or Andrei Vasilesky become available there really isnt a need for another goalie. As when Murray and Sammy are in the zone they are scary

I don’t want Murray anywhere near the playoffs. You can’t count on him. He’s played 19 games this year and is rocking a .850 SV% in his last 10 games.

Ride or die with Sammy

Sammy is 1-6 with a 2.98 GAA and a 0.906 in Playoffs

Meanwhile Matt Murray is 29-21-0 in 51 games with a goals against average of 2.18 and a save percentage of .921 in the playoffs in his career.

Basically I want both to play before deciding anything. But 2 rings and those numbers give Murray an advantage. Just got to ensure health but Pitt dealt with that by having MAF.

In a sense a tandem isnt the worst as not everyone's Vasilesky. Heck Colorado used Francouz when Kuemper got hurt

we'll see what happens but hard to really look too deep into a 25 year old goalie's playoff stats

In general Sammy's got potential but man that giveaway that had Ovie screaming has me going PLS dont let that happen

As the one issue with Sammy this kid is not the greatest puck player

I just want both playing before so then we got a nice competition going which than can make things more interesting

As like Pittsburgh having 2 good goalies isnt a bad thing. Been joking about it but

Sammy starts home games, Murray road games as Sammy at home is a monster, road hes meh while Murray home meh Road good.

good thing puck play isn't that big an issue for a goalie
and lets not let one individual play cloud our thoughts of a player, mistakes happen by every single player.

Honestly would be fun if Keefe did Murray on the road Sammy at home as with their stats and records in each field Tampa might get a headache.

As man (2023)

Ilya Samsonov at home: 12-0-1, .938.
Matt Murray on the road: 7-4-1, .929.

Road record for Sammy not as good as with Murray at home. But man if they can come back and do that perfect

yea but there's also a reason why no team ever goes tandem split for playoffs

After his two cups, the second one he shared the net with MAF, he is 7-12 with a .909 SV%

So, who are we getting?

A monster at home known as Samsonov. He can start home games

Murray Road WARRIOR

But in general having 2 good goalies going into the playoffs aint the worst. As mentioned above Sammy could do home games, Murray road games then from there whoever starts struggling can be phased out and we go with whose doing the best if absolutely necessary.

Orlov 🤷‍♂️take him

I already liked their Dcore without him. Was confused why they want to mess with it

If BOS have to move Reilly to another team in a cap dump, could be an interesting target

Profiles well analytically - good at D specifically. Is he a physical presence (but intelligent about it)?

Again. I WANT PROFESSIONAL SCOUTING TO BE PUBLICALLY AVAILABLE ARGGGGGG

One thing I will say Clifton really showed his stuff in the playoffs 2 years ago

I still remember Ovie getting so frustrated with him and Zboril they just bashed and crashed him and never let him do much

Kind of like what Danault and Chiarot did to us cry

Hes not my first choice but I do like Clifton

Also I think the charts on Pg. 42 or 43
