Why would Yotes trade a 3rd for Muzzin? He prob never plays again - but they’re willing to pay his salary next year? It makes no sense - please explain.
No interest personally in Domi; we can keep Kerfoot & Engvall (useful players) & still have room to add Laughton if that’s your preferred target - wouldn’t be mine but maybe?

Insurance would cover his contract so they wouldn’t actually be spending money and this way they can having him allows for them to spend less as his contract would bring them closer to the cap floor for next year it’s the same reason they often bring on contracts of player who will never play again

I’m no cap expert but muzz would have to exit LTIR and be an active player at start of season for him to count against cap. You can’t trade for a player on LTIR in e or ration heMll get you to floor. And If he can play he’s staying with the leafs (he has a NMC which he ain’t waiving) so I just don’t think it’ll work
