Honestly, I think you guys should take your time here and not be so aggressive. Despite where you are in the standings, you've made huge strides and are clearly a team that's about to blow up. I'd stay the course and do as much via free agency first. I completely agree.
Chychrun becomes a free agent at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Since he lived just up the street from the Pegula residence in Boca Raton, Florida and two of Kim and Terry's children attended the same school as Jakob, he may even give the Sabres a "friends" discount.
Even before negotiations start, I would think the Sabres would be high on his list of teams with which to sign.

Would love Crouse, doubt that package gets it done. Think we missed that opportunity I agree.
Buffalo is even getting a third back, LOL.
Since winning the Salming Award, Pilut has done nothing in the NHL nor Europe to justify his accolade.
If Portillo was signed, he would have a lot more value, maybe the third is for his rights?
Since Olofsson is a year older than Lawson, I do not see the incentive for Arizona to make that trade.

Give it a few more weeks with mittelstadt. You'll have more value than olofsson
Casey has played very well the last two games,
I hope it continues, the Sabres need a third line.
We can circle back after tonight's game to continue this discussion.
