A few random notes:
- Every team with one of our prospects is extremely friendly to providing ample info/vids, but UConn (Capone's team) doesn't not post a starting lineup or videos of their goals. Thanks for nothing UConn...
-----correction: sometimes they feel like it and sometimes they don't.. IDK

- Howard has essentially done nothing outside the first few games of the season. Still playing on UMD's second line.

- Ryan St. Louis went to the USHL this season after doing nothing his freshman year at Northeastern. Currently 6 goals and 12 assists through 13 games. 2023 draft will be the last draft he's eligible for.

Besides this...

Cannot tell if Howard (#3) got this through the defenders cleanly, but pretty nifty work here.

I'm ashamed to say I'm only now devoting time to NIKO HUUHTANEN!! (Everett announcers voice).

This guy is playing on the top line in the the Finnish league as a 19 y/o. On the surface that should be a very good sign.

Hopefully some exposure at home means we'll see him in the WJC.

Still plugging away at catching up with the prospects outside Syracuse.

I missed Dureau's assignment to Orlando at the beginning of the month. He hasn't done anything special since.

With Cajkovic, Dureau, and Semykin all in Orlando at the moment I am thinking I need to make a trip over there and see why they aren't even the best players on an ECHL team.

We're under a month until the WJC. From what I've been reading it seems like Duke (USA) and Huuhtanen (Finland) will be locks to make their teams.

Schmidt (USA) looks to have an outside chance.

Howard's rough start to the UMD season looks like it'll keep him off the US team. He'll be eligible again next season though.

I'm thinking of paying $25 to get access to Hockey Prospecting.

I'm really curious what kind of analytics our prospects have.

Okay, if Stamkos doesn't hit 1000 tonight I will subscribe.

I'm going to be shelling out the $ to buy tickets vs. Toronto on Saturday, so what's a little more?

Edit: on the other hand, now that I'm not buying tickets I can spend that money on Hockey Prospecting lol

Okay, I've taken one for the team. Here's my reaction to what I'm seeing:

Howard: Close your eyes!
Huuhtanen: Glass half full or half empty, you pick.
Fortier: Hold this L @Rangsey
Barre-Boulet: Play the man!
Goncalves: Pius Suter was his top draft comp.
Dureau: Top comp is Mathieu Joseph... idk about that one chief.

Fort Gabe been bad? Nooooo.
Starting to get the feeling the ABB's best chance of sticking in the NHL was Seattle. Cory Conacher 2.0?

Depending on how much/little the cap rises next year ABB may finally get a full look with the low cap hit.

After getting everything in order the other week, I now have Niko's teams twitter tracked down.

I'm loosely watching UNH and Gagne tonight.

One quick note is that he lacks that "dawg" in him that Perbix showed at SCSU and Crozier currently shows at Providence.
Even though UNH is abysmal this season, I don't think that matters much here.

It'd be great to see NHL teams hold teddy tosses!

Also, whether with us or someone else, I think Element is on his way to earning an NHL contract for next season.

Looks like we'll have 3 representatives at the 2023 WJC.
Dylan Duke -- USA
Niko Huuhtanen -- Finland
Klavs Veinbergs -- Latvia

Day 1 in the books for the Bolts at the WJC.
Veinbergs missed a wide open net, but otherwise looked ok.
Duke had two assists and looked good.
Huuhtanen looked invisible, but so did most of Finland.

I like Howard, but we were THREE spots away from being able to draft Jiri Kulich.

Well, I finally made it to Orlando. And Dureau didn't play....

However, Cajkovic is just a pleasure to watch when he has the puck on his stick.

I forgot just how mobile (as in distance covered, not speed) Semykin is. But it looks more like flash than effectiveness.
MacArthur is okay.
Mismash had some good moments, but he's probably where he belongs or a bottom liner in the AHL max (like he's been up until now).

I don't usually pound the table too hard for any of our prospect's NHL probability, but I'm getting close to wanting to smash the table to say Declan Carlile will be in the NHL next season.

You called Perbix last year. But you've also been on the ABB wagon for awhile.

Finally getting around to do a little manual tracking of faceoffs on the Crunch since that's not a public AHL stat. Will say more once I have a few more games of data, but it looks good for one player (Finley).

Also, 41st game for the Lightning tonight (halfway there). Midseason prospect assessment post tomorrow.
