Nashville added McDonagh and Niederreiter, the Jets added Rittich and Gagner.. lol

The Preds need a lot of things to go right to have another good season though, mainly their top four forwards having strong showings like they did last season.

I cant see Duchene and Josi doing what they did last year and Saros sucked the last 4 months. how good will McDonagh actually do??? he doesnt make them way better imo.

The Central is essentially two teams at the top in the Avs and Blues, two teams at the bottom in the Yotes and Hawks and then the other four teams who are basically pretty similar to one another with their own strengths and weaknesses.

agreed, which makes divisional games so important. The jets were 14-6-6 vs the central last year and 28-13-9 vs the west which is surprising actually. Gotta beat up those Eastern teams and improve in SO and OT

Extra time losses sunk us imo.

My awestruck compliments on the obscure historical reference in the Team Title.

Likely not which is why I said the Preds need a lot of things to go right to have another good season, Josi is a legit #1D though which is something the Jets don't have. Saros sucked for the last four months, well Helle sucked for the entire season sooo... lol

McDonagh doesn't make them way better but does help and so does Neidereitter, of all the Central division teams the Preds are the only team that got better in the offseason.

Ultimately other then the Avs getting first and the Hawks&Yotes being at the bottom the rest of the division could go any number of ways.

Not sure if "favorite" is the right word, but the most interesting is probably Agincourt. Verdun and Waterloo are a close second though.

Yeah, and they were picked only 1 spot apart(9th and 10th I believe)

Wait a second, are you saying Nashville needs Dallas to do well in order to be successful themselves? (JK tears of joy)

I might make the argument that Winnipeg has a better blueline than St. Louis, just from a personnel standpoint.

I think the Blues top 4 dmen are better then the Jets, the 3rd pair and overall depth of the Jets D might be better but the strength of a teams top 4 is more important imo.

Gonna be tough, other then Philly and Montreal I don't see too many easy games from the east, Detroit, NJ and Buffalo should be better this year and the rest look like pretty decent teams.

Even the Pacific doesn't look like it has any teams that should be an easy win, SJ and the Ducks will be bad but if healthy won't be terrible. Gotta show up with a real effort in any game to win which we saw quite a bit last season.

Will probably have a better OT record if they don't start pretty much every OT with Morrissey, Scheifele and Wheeler... 🙄

Yeah, "favorite" is a poor word to use in connection with the effusion of blood, as Lincoln said.

Mine is Cowpens, in South Carolina. Second choice, Fort Phil Kearny, the site of the 1868 Sioux War.

Morrisey = Krug
Pionk = Faulk (Although I have a lot of time for the argument that Pionk is better)
Demelo = Parayko
Schmidt > Leddy
Dillon > Scandella
Stanley < Mikkola
Samberg = Perunovich

Agreed. McDonagh should definitely help on the blueline, but I'm not expecting him to be a huge difference maker. You sure Saros didn't suck the final 4 months because he had been overworked prior to and was playing injured or something?
