Why would the Isles trade a great prospect for a 4th liner making 6 million for the next 5 years

The best thing that can happen for Tampa is that Callaghan goes on LTIR. When healthy he is not worth his 5.8m to any team. Killhorn is nice but for 2nd/3rd line LWer making long term 4.4m a year, I don't see that many times interested. I'm sure the Leafs won't be.....where does he fit into their lineup?

No contract for Dotchin? He was Tampa's second best Dman last season. Sustr is no way making 3 million. Namestnikov, if he's still in Tampa, probably plays in the top 6. Definitely the top 9. Paquette centres the 4th line won't play the second line. Budaj probably won't make 2 million either.

Finally the Callahan deal. I don't think the isles go for that deal. If he does agree to waive his clause he's probably gonna have to be bundled together with a top end prospects and a pick to a rebuilding team with cap room. Even Then, I doubt there's a team in the league that will take it.
