Penguins already made the mistake of overpaying for a 3rd line center and he was only making 3.3 mil. Unless Carolina retains half Staal's salary, this deal shouldn't happen.

Scuderi and Kunitz wouldn't waive to go to Carolina. Jarry has no value. And I can't believe people are already trading away 2017 1sts.

How does Tristin Jarry have no value? He does have value, not enough to get stall, but value is there.

FYI this was in response to a challenge on pensburgh. I was trying to see if it was doable and this was as close as I could come. I don't actually think it will or should happen. I don't want to trade picks anymore and this kills the cap for pouliot the next year.

please don't compare staal to Sutter, haha. Five million is not an overpay for staal it's just not wise for Pittsburgh to be the one paying.

How does Tristin Jarry have no value? He does have value, not enough to get stall, but value is there.


Prospect goalies have little to no value until they play in the NHL.... and even after that, it's hard to prove yourself a viable goalie. It will take Tristan Jerry at least 10 years to find a full time back up spot in the NHL, if he's lucky.

i don't think kunitz has any say. Could be wrong

It's been confirmed he has a NMC. I don't know why this site doesn't list it.
