Don't think McPhee will take Reinhart. He was with Isles for a long time and knows him pretty well. The Eberle trade is pretty fair but after Eberle's awful year(unable to thrive with 97 in first few months, demoted, worst numbers of career) will Isles have to pay that much(toews had great season in AHL) for a guy making that money?

retain salary/add to that trade or both and i'd certainly think about it. Totally fine with shipping nelson out, but Toews is legit, the only thing that's going to kill him for the Isles is that they already have too many puck moving D, so I could see him being expendable unfortunately, cant wait to see him in the NHL.

why would you give Nuge for Gallagher and add a 2nd rounder? Oilers get smoked in that trade. should be eberle pouliot for gallagher Plekanec. no picks involved.


since MTL wants a centre, u do the same trade but either a 1st or 2nd rounder comes back to EDM next year and no pick is given up.

gave way too much money to Russell(shouldnt be playing above 6-7 dman) and Draisaitl. can get both for at least a million less

I tried Nuge and Pouliot for Gallagher and Plekanac. Habs fans said that wasn't fair so maybe i should make it like a 6th round pick?

Eberle still finished 20th among right wingers in points. I haven't really seen Toews play not sure what his ceiling is. As for Vegas I think that they take either Pitlick or Reinhart.

Nelson is younger and outperforming eberle, with a smaller cap. Toews is also a future great puck moving defenseman.

Nelson is 2 years younger but also only has one year left on his deal after which he will want a raise. He also just had his career high in points but has had 42, 40, and 45 point seasons in the last three years. Eberle put up 63, 47, 51 but missed 13 games when he put up 47. Eberle is expected to rebound though and is seen as a capable 60 point guy

Also for all of you Islander fans would you want the oilers to retain a million or so or throw in say a third round pick

Habs fans are sadly misguided if they think Gallagher is more valuable that Nuge. Winger for Centre with more points. Centres are much more valuable than wingers and a centre with more points than said winger. Habs either throw in a pick or retain a lot of salary on Plekanec
