So Arizona flips Johnson half retained and Colorado pays a 3rd for them to do so?

Who would be taking on Johnson at $3 million?

Yes many people and its illegal. Called cap circumvention. You can't trade a player to a team, have that team retain any salary and trade him back within the same year.

I think this guy doesn't realize that you can't trade a player, retain them trade him back, he is just informed now.

This also leaves maybe 10 mil if you're lucky after a mack deal for you to resign 1/3 of the roster good luck
