Description
I think miller is the best option for 2C. This scenario is based off the debrincat & giroux trades. 1st,2nd,3rd & 1st, prospect 3rd. This igves us the best shot at repeating without gutting our depth to get a 2C

The Avalanche giving up their first is very different then Ottawa giving up pick 7

Ottawa’s pick was 7OA. Your pick is probably like 30OA. That gap is much bigger than you think

Vancouver isn’t going to undersell like Chicago did. You want a 99 point player? You’re going to have to part ways with your valuable assets.

You're gonna have to give up Girard or Newhook maybe both if Allvin can work some magic

I don't think the Avs will give up either at the moment. They might have to reassess at the tdl if it's looking like they need a Miller, but not now.

Can't say I blame you for the ask. It's not unreasonable. I'm more just saying that I don't think the teams come together if that's the price.

In general I think miller won’t be moved this offseason since vancouber won’t sell at a discount and I don’t think any team will offer what they are asking. Maybe the two re-engage talks at the TDL but I still think vancouver will be hesitant to move down from their asking price

VAN should have traded him at the draft. He’s a rental player now and I think the return is going to be disappointing for canucks fans. It is what it is. The Avs aren’t going to give up assets like Newhook, Girard, or Byram for a player they can’t re-sign. Plus, like Kadri, there’s no guarantee he’ll have a season like he just had.

Nobody is expecting Miller to get 99 points again or score at that pace, but we still expect him to be around a PPG, that's still valuable enough. Miller even as a rental is gonna cost a return package involving one of Girard or Newhook

Why doesn't Miller just come out and say he won't re-up with Vancouver like Tkachuk just did with Calgary, and Seth Jones last year with Columbus?

Maybe not right now, but things could change come trade deadline, team's get desperate to add to their rosters sometimes
