Alexander Kerfoot & Conor Garland are the same height 5’10, almost the same weight Kerfoot actually weighs more 185lbs >165lbs, Had almost the same amount of points last year Garland had 1 more 52>51, On their career stats Kerfoot has more 40+ point seasons than Garland though they are close as Garland has had 2 39 point seasons. One makes 3.5(Kerfoot) & another makes 4.95 (Garland) So with all that in mind what makes Garland worth a pick & a prospect to some & Kerfoot barely worth a 3rd to some people, Is it the term remaining, is it in his playstyle cause Kerfoot actually had more hits than Garland last season 75>52 which I found a surprising stat

THIS ISN’T A HATE POST JUST AN HONEST QUESTION

LMAO, uh, because Garland is materially a better player than Kerfoot? Kerfoot doesn't score 50+ points if he spends the entire season on the 3rd line

I would say I think garland is slightly better but in all reality I think it's the pressure for Toronto to win and the cap situation they are in.

Does Garland? Garland had more time on ice at even strength than Kerfoot, more time on the PP, etc, etc. The only place Kerfoot played more than Garland was the penalty kill.

He didn’t get a single PP minute was pushed down the line up, has had 40 point seasons previously but i guess that's a stretch to say cause he had 50, Garland had a 52 point season with Pp time

Garland is one of the best offensive producers at even strength in the league. Kerfoot is nowhere close to Garland in that department

Garland hardly had any PP time either, FACTUALLY INCORRECT homer

Garland is much better than Kerfoot, and it's not even close

Garland scored 0.02 more points/60 than Kerfoot last season at even strength. Do you even bother to look things up before making claims?

Garland scored more points 5 on 5, is younger, is signed for longer, draws more penalties, doesn't need to be traded due to cap, more expected goals, more primary assists, more takeaways and less giveaways, better Corsi and better Fenwick, more on ice goals % and better goal differential. Come on man

Garland played 122:58 on the powerplay. He was the 8th most used Canucks player on the PP last season.

Yeah, the only reason that's the case is cause Kerfoot spent most of the season playing with Nylander and Tavares. He was being carried by them offensively

Garland played 122:58 on the powerplay last season. A little more than 2 hours.

He didn't play on the 1st unit very much

Thats quite the goalpost move. From being FACTUALLY INCORRECT about a player who played the 8th most PP minutes on the team to 'well they weren't 1st unit minutes'.

I'm not sure how you can make that claim. 8th most PP minutes on a team doesn't mean the player had to have played 1st unit minutes to rank that high in terms of PP time on a certain team

Judging from time on ices, the Canucks 2nd unit played about 33% of PP time.

Then he did have PP Time & technically performed even worse than he should have i’d expect 60 points from him with PP time not only 3 points from the Pp

Where did I make that claim? I'm pointing out that you move from saying it was factually incorrect that Garland got PP time to saying he didn't get 1st unit minutes.

He did get PP time, just not on the 1st unit
