Dvorak gets at least a first. Allen maybe a 2nd if its 50% retained.

Why would Arizona do that trade? They give up two picks and in return the get a goalie who's getting older and doesn't help them win more games. They'll Vejmelka and have in develop into their starter in the future if they ever can turn it around.

First, thank you for not putting in Dubois trade. Such a tired subject.

To AlalHul, I don't think Dvorak would warrent a first right now. Perhaps he should, but after last season, highly unlikely.

But on the bigger question, why would you trade away two players who are going to be useful to you this year and you can afford? They can always be moved at the deadline if there's demand, but getting a handful of so-so draft picks seems pretty wasteful.

Just wondering what from the above states signals that last year was so bad for him? Just because fans may have had high expectations doesnt alter his value. He's a top man in the face-off circle and had a much better second half of the season on a team that had very few bright spots overall. His certainly still worth a first, maybe not from a rebuilding team, but if he would to be deal to a contender then yes.

Habs certainly arent going to dump him for a second just for the sake of moving him out.
