Ghost Bear

Description
Philly gets their goaltender of the future in Robin Lehner who is still young and already a very good goaltender. Buffalo gets a top-4 defender they need in GhostBear from Philly and a veteran goalie to help transition Ullmark and hopefully Petersen. Ideas on the value of this deal?

Not sure if Buffalo would sign a veteran goalie instead of playing Ullmark, but that is up for discussion.

Very creative. I think you are adding to the vegas deal, maybe baptiste or fasching, its worth it. I liked neuvirth when he was here, and i especially like that hes cheap. Probably adding to get ghost, maybe the other one of baptiste/fasching. Not sure what to expect from ghost, which year is the real one? Fact is, we would not be giving up much and it could be a real nice move. I really liked murray, but he was all out of low risk moves like this, pysyk/kulikov probably got him fired, a new gm like botterill has a couple mulligans to play with.

Thanks. A third AND Baptiste/Fasching to move Moulson may be too much as he also isn't under contract for long, id be open to swapping the third for one of them though. And I'd also be okay with adding a little to Ghost deal, but I think Lehner definitely has some great value and would be a top goalie on the market if moved due to his numbers, age, cost control, and rfa control

I didnt like moving the first for lehner, but i understood it. He was a guy murray liked and he was under team control for 4 or 5 years. I know it gets tossed around a lot, but i like the running back comparison. Unless you have a great one, you might as well get an average one on the cheap and put the best team in front of him. Neuvirth at under 3 works for me.

I like the trade if Philly would do it...
but they'd have to like Lehner as much as Murray did to consider it

I don't get the Vanek signing though...
Don't we need to get faster?
      No thanks
I'd rather play Bailey or Baptiste

He's on a line with two guys who can skate, speed wouldn't be the problem. Vanek has shown he can put up points while Bailey and Baptiste haven't. I'd sign Vanek to bridge the rookies into their top-6 roles

His play driving metrics were better this year than last, his shooting percentage cratered. That's to be expected when your a rookie D that comes in firing at 11+% when the league average for D is around 3-4%.
