        If Montour keeps up his development he isn't signing at that price. Might be better to move Fowler and not have bonino being overpaid when you have rakell and steel with the ability to play center and Johansson.

        I think Montour gets the same deal Sami Vat did when he signed.

        I think Montour gets the same deal Sami Vat did when he signed.


        I would agree, but Montour is going to have two full NHL seasons and part of another. Plus at least this year's playoffs at a minimum. That's over 150 games and two full seasons in the NHL when he's due for a contract. Sami had half a season and a cup of coffee when he signed that cheap and only 30 career points. Montour on this pace will probably see current vatanen money on his next contract in two years or a little less - especially if he is top pairing. Probably 4 x 4 if I had to guess

        Yeah, if he continues the pace that he is at now i would agree. I also didn't realize how good his +/- stats are right now. He is like top 3 in the playoffs. I'm also realizing more and more how bad that Kesler contract really is. That is going to possibly hurt us. I think I also have over paid Fowler but i figure that is what they may extend him for.
