Can the Sabres make that trade for Konecny. That is a bad trade for Philly but they are known for it. I would give that in a heartbeat if I were Calgary or any other NHL Club

This would be after they sign Gaudreau. Their hands are tied and need to shed cap.

I know need to shed cap but just don’t give him away. Can get a 1st or 2nd and good prospect for him at least

I would definitely hope that would be the case but I have read reports that people think TK will be one that will struggle with Torts.

After having to give up picks to shed Ghost last year I feel like we may have to take what we can get

I thought this post was bait because of that offer, he easily lands a first and a high B low A prospect… possibly more depending how late that first is expected to end

Ghost was awful defensively, Konecny is a high caliber all around player whose only fault is finding the back of the net, everything else he is very good at.

While he may not fit this system (although he seems like the perfect player for it) his value is still pretty damn good and giving him away would just be awful

Torts is going to love Konecny. Just the type player he loves to Coach. He isn’t going anywhere

The only thing I think he will comment on is that Konecny does like to carry the puck and try to do one or two extra moves before making the pass. He kinda tries to showboat and usually it causes a break in the play but Torts can talk to him about making the smart play and only carrying it when necessary and I think Konecny Should be able to adapt to that

Thomas Vanek said Torts was one of his fav coaches to play for because he held players accountable and worked with the stars on the team. Konecny will adapt to Torts system and be just fine
