Mega overpay for Kane imo. 3rd/4th rd don’t need to be added. Mcmichael also should not be in that deal.

Caps definitely shouldn't. Can pay that same price for a younger, cheaper just as good player.

Who do you think is available thats younger, cheaper than 5.25 mil, and better than Kane lmao. The Kane slander on this site is getting ridiculous, as if he's not still one of the best forwards in the league. As if he didn't just score 92 points in 78 games this year and 242 points over the last 3 seasons (204 games) (1.19 points per game) (98 point pace per season).

Just tell me you haven't watched the Blackhawks at all the past 3+ seasons

He's good but he plays zero defense, which is fine when you play for a crap team but if you play for a contender you need to at least put in some effort. He'll also be 34 in November, Caps are trying to get younger.
