We won’t sign both. Strome will have teams swarming him and Kubalik will fly under the radar a bit so while I’d prefer Strome obviously, I could see Hextall grabbing Kubalik and putting him to good use. Which I certainly wouldn’t mind either.

Strome gonna go to TOR no doubt. Kubalik is a thick body which I’d love to add to team. Need some more size that can play

Strome will go to a contender surely, I could see Kubalik really fitting nicely into our lineup. I wouldn’t mind that pick up at all.

I think we can afford to pay strome a lot more than toronto. I know he is from the GTA but if he wants the bag then we could be a real option

Kubalik has some weird analytics. Not neccessarily bad, but weird lol. I could see his elite shot potetially working with either sid or geno (if we can sign him)

it was rumoured that the hawks were trying to trade strome all last year, no one wanted him, High QO with Arb rights. Same as Kubalik.

Only if Hawks could get them to sign for cheap then flip them, only way to get assets out of them. But why would STrome or Kuablik do them solids like that

The problem with strome is, like all stromes, he needs to be playing a lot of minutes with superstar players to be effective. Hawks tried playing him lower in the lineup and his numbers plummeted.

As for the hawks not qualifying him, only thing I could think of at this point is management is just lazy. They don't wanna do the work. They just want to make the team as bad as possible so Bedard can come in and make them look good. Why else would you trade debrincat for a fraction of his value? Signing strome would make management have to do more work later when they inevitably try trading him at the next deadline.

Don't even have to sign them for cheap. Give strome a 3x5 mil deal then retain half when you trade him.

who knows what his relationship is with the Org. Sounds simple and a no brainer to do that, but who's knows....just spit balling, but if his agent told the team they just plan on going to Arb, getting their 2 years to walk them to UFA, Cant trade a player the 1st year they have an arb settlement. So Stromes camp has a lot of leverage over the hawks.

They just might not want to deal with that and cut him loose now.

GM really are not doing anyone favours anymore, this is the same league that apparently Puljujärvi cant even gainer trade interest and is getting low ball offers or 3rd round picks at best.
