Description
- Grabner lost to Vegas rather than Rantaa, simple guess that Vegas will have a better option for a starter.
- Trade with Leafs clears a lot of Cap for the Rangers in the form of two fairly ugly contracts, although they retain part of Girardi's. In return they get a serviceable lefty, with two "prospects" who have shown potential of filling bottom six roles. Toronto also gets Hayes to replace their centre depth with the loss of Gauthier. Definitely a lopsided trade skill-wise, but helps out the Rangers a lot in terms of allowing them to sign McDonagh when the time comes, and filling a need for both teams

Brenda Smith is getting 4-5 years between 4.25 - 5 Million. he turned down 4 years 17 Million from Detroit before he was moved. He made 2.75 last year. Skapski may be non tendered, he can't even play well in the ECHL. Sadly i think the Rangers lose Fast or Lindberg to Vegas.
