Vancouver should accept that. Assuming our management likes Carlo.

I think it would take a bit more for JT.

Also. I think Boston is very comfortable with their top 4 as it sits right now. They saw Lindholm as their missing piece and now they have what they feel is a "complete" top 4. I doubt they move a piece of it unless the return is worth it. I agree that JT Miller would be worth breaking up the top 4, I just don't know that Boston is going to be actively shopping anyone in their top 4. I doubt Miller ends up on their radar because of this.

Why should Van accept that? There’s no high end piece coming back

Carlo. There’s a reason this trade wouldn’t happen, and its because Boston’s not offering it. Teams don’t trade top four d men for rentals. Conceptually it doesn’t make sense. Logically it doesn’t make sense. And more importantly, it just does not happen. Vancouver will get futures because of course they will.

If bergeron retires, the bruins would be absolute morons to try to replace him. They’re not going to. Re-tool.

I’m sure you’re right and I based this purely on how poorly I thought Carlo played in the last few months including the playoffs during 5v5 play. Him and Forbort were both great on the PK and I thought Forbort was better in all other play including puck movement. I hope Carlo improves but his injury history scares me a bit. Maybe more time with Lindholm will make a difference assuming they keep Gryzleck with MacAvoy!
