Bergerons Retirement

Created by: Jupa08
Team: 2022-23 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: May 17, 2022
Published: May 18, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Edmonton needs a goalie and if the opportunity presented itself, I think the Bruins would be comfortable handing the keys to Swayman. RNH won't break the bank and with guys in Edmonton looking to break into their lineup like Holloway and Bourgault, they may be open to moving on from RNH

With Lysell, Merkulov, Beecher, and Mcglaughlin all knocking on the door I think Craig Smith could become disposable as the team could look to go younger faster, and cheaper at their 3RW spot.

Miles Wood would bring physicality while not sacrificing speed which is huge. Wood crashes the net and can also drop the gloves which will go over well with Bruins fans.

The thing that bruins fans have to get over is the half-assed measures to replace bergeron. If bergeron retires, that’s it. It’s a re-tool.

Nuge has a NMC. He'd need to want to leave a team that just went further in the playoffs than Boston. So, with that alone, don't see how that conversation starts for Nuge.

He gets to be a #1 center in Boston. I'm sure he's okay with being a 2 behind McDavid lol but if thats something RNH ever wanted, Boston could provide him that in this situation
