1 season of Matt Dumba is not worth Kaliyev, Faber, and a 2nd. Kings can just reup Edler for a season and go after Dumba for free.

There is absolutely zero chance that this goes through, Kaliyev is a guy with a really high upside (maybe 1st line, 2nd line) and Faber is a guy with a ceiling of a Top 2/Top 4 defenseman. We're not giving those two guys up and a 2nd for one season of Matt Dumba.

Ok I'm a diehard wild fan and would love to see this happen. It's not happening. Wild have had Dumba on the market for 3 off-seasons in a row now, that has had a detrimental effect on his trade value. We have no more bargaining power in that trade. Add to that the fact that every team in the league will know that our end game is to keep Fiala so there wouldn't be much of a return on Dumba. The catch is that even with no return the return is massive because keeping Fiala is the return.

I hear you but Dumba's trade value is still good....look at what the Flyers paid for Ristolainen or what the Avalanche paid for Toews.

Faber a top 2 d-man? I think you have him confused with Clarke. Faber was drafted 45th overall and was projected to go around 85th overall.....he is a good prospect d-man but I am not sure about top 2 maybe a top 4. Helge Grans is higher on the Kings prospect list then Faber...

True, but if Fiala can't get his production going in the playoffs Guerin will probably decide to trade Fiala and take a big return. If that's the case Dumba will be staying put.
