They're going to start him out at Wing like they did Hertl

Can we stop under selling Hill and overpaying for Konecny, that would be great

Taking out Gregor in the PHI deal and getting at least a 3rd back for Hill makes both deals fair, but yeah, slight under selling here on SJ's part, I agree.

They could also go the Couture route though and have him play at center in his official rookie season after getting in some games at wing in his pre-rookie entry season. You're probably right, they'll probably play him at wing.

But if he's able to play 3C, they need to seriously consider it if they want to be competitive since Bonino is a defensive 4C and this team, as Boughner acknowledged, needs depth offense.

Eklund would be ideal with 2 shooter’s. he would be an ideal match on LW with Hertl and Meier, Barabanov and Dahlen or Balcers on the 3rd line with Bordeleau would be a good mix, if Bordeleau isn’t ready Dahlen can play C there also.
and Couture with Konercy and Marchment would be nice.
then Nieto Bonino Reedy on the 4th with Gregor and Viel as healthy scratches to me seems like a good mix.
Edit: Gregor was traded here so swap him with Leonard.

I still don’t think I would do that Philly deal then, Konecny doesn’t being that much more to the lineup at $5.5 for 3 years, he doesn’t produce that much offense to move that for him

agreed Konecny produces the last 2 years similar to what Barabanov provides, and a 5.5 that’s too much cap to spend on a player of that caliber.

Agreed with everything here. The key of course is if Dahlen's able to play as the 3C. If he is, this team could be dangerous, since that's a desperate need for SJ and I'm not sure they can afford getting a guy like Strome since they also have other holes.

Dahlen played C in Europe so it’s not crazy to envision him there. my preference would be Bordeleau though as he has a higher ceiling and Dahlen is better suited as a LW.
I actually like the Marchment signing more and more but i am having 2nd thoughts about a trade for Konecny, his numbers have tailed off the last 2 years and i have a suspicion Labanc and him might be close in points next year. plus we have 3 RW with top 6/ middle 6 ceilings in Robins Coe & Weisblatt who are about a year out, and we also have Meier who is in line to get a 2.5-3.5 raise after next season and we need to make sure we have the cap space.
