2017 season

Created by: Skywalker87
Team: 2017-18 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 13, 2017
Published: Apr. 13, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is one idea of what the avs could do. There are multiple things this team can/could/will do. I'm going to assume:1) Sakic and Bednar stay. 2) win draft lottery ~ draft Nolan Patrick 3) expansion draft: Blake Comeau. With that I also see beau waiving his NMC, then he is moved afterwards (it's an idea, constructive criticism) 4) duchene trade 5) RFA offers. I do see a surprise trade happening, not one of the "core" guys, I do believe someone close to/or contending will take a shot on one of colbourne/beau/soderberg. We would have to take back something due to cap space. But that can be flipped later.

I think that's too much for Duchene, but at least you didn't trade him for what Sakic wants. He wanted Sergachev, Galchenyuk, and a 1st.

Yeah zero chance that Bieksa waives his NMC for Colorado, Not when him and his family just got settled there in Southern California.

Oh I really want sergachev. He is a better dman today than juulsen... but if we get Galchenyuk, Urho and a 2nd as well I call that a win. Plus if butcher isn't going to sign with us then sweeten the deal for Montreal. The idea of Urho, juulsen and meloche in the ahl next year and possibly pushing for a spot in 2018 is really enticing. Plus if we get a top 5 pick next year our defense could look really really good. Galchenyuk is something I have been hearing and I belive he is better on the wing because he's a natural shooter. Take the defense responsability away and I believe he can be a great finisher on one of our lines.

I'm not saying he will. But I do think the ducks will look at making moves before and maybe after exp draft due to the fact they will lose a good player. Kevin to me would be a guy to move or buy out because you have young depth there. It's just an idea. Ducks get a guy who if he goes back to scoring like he did on calgray would be a cheap, quick upgrade on a win now team. But it was an idea

Why do you post on every duchene trade thats its too much, we know you think 2 bottom 6 players and a 2nd round pick is fair value for him.

Honestly man just give it a rest
