Why the double retention when miller and holl both contracts expire at same time? Why not just retain 250k on holl???
Do you check contracts before posting stuff?

And Vancouver says no easily

I made Holl a buriable contract, you get a 1st & 2nd along with a great Rd prospect then add a penalty killing winger & center that can slide anywhere up & down the lineup wtf would need to be added for you to say yes

I'd rather keep the first/second round pick and Niemela. Defense is the area to address, Miller doesn't help.

Listen to me when i say this , Yes he does & there is 5 mil in cap space to work with now for Kyle with Miller, he has alot more options then before

Pretty awful package for miller. Don’t get why the Canucks do this

Kerfoot is a nice 3C but JT Miller’s on ice value is easily comparable to that of John Tavares. So the gap in value is huge.

Holl adds nothing of value at all to the deal. If you took him out completely then it would probably be a better trade for vancouver

Niemela is a nice prospect but comes with lots of uncertainty. Probably the best piece of the deal though.

A late first and late 2nd are nice but can be beaten by any team.

A NYR proposal of Chytil, Lunkvist, a 1st and a 2nd is better than this one, and that is a package that many Canucks fans have said they would turn down for miller. I would rather wait till the offseason if this is the best offer the Canucks get

I'm not sure if the post has been edited since these comments, but what more would you want? 2/3 of torontos top prospects, roster player to replace Miller's spot, 1st and a 2nd, and a throw away to make the money work. This is a better package than Eichel got. As a leaf fan I wouldn't do this trade even if you tookout Kerfoot and Niemela, although that would be a pretty close to value trade.

Robertson has now been added. With him it’s a pretty good package. He adds a lot of value

Just because it’s 2 of your 3 best prospects doesn’t really mean anything if they don’t have value. Niemela is definitely a good prospect and one that would be covered by 90% of teams but Robertson doesn’t have that much value. Many teams would have a player like him so I don’t think Vancouver would see that as a must have. The picks are what they are…holl is worthless in a trade and Kerfoot is who he is.

It’s not so much about value but about the needs that this fills for Vancouver and I don’t think fills a need.

Robertson is arguably Toronto's best prospect. The Athletic had him as the #28 nhl prospect (just behind Krebs and Sanderson) so if you think he doesn't have value, that's foolish. I get that Vancouver needs to upgrade their blue line, but that doesn't mean good forward prospects don't have "value"
