I like Gallagher's grit, spunk and leadership but this was Bergevin's worst signing IMO . I can't see any GM feeling good about trading for 35 pt a year old plumber making 8 million in 23/24 and 9 million in 24/25 , he is not getting any younger and has taken a lot of punishment. Any deal would have to include serious salary retention.

I think DAL plans to keep Pavelski. He's playing the best hockey of his career. And if Klingberg walks/gets traded, he needs to get replaced too, which will cost potentially quite a lot considering Nill likes to overpay UFAs. So I don't see there being that much money on the table left.
