RFA backup goalies don't get paid well. They just don't have the amount games played to build up a track record to justify more money. I think if he;s the starter or at least a true tandem goalie the rest of the way then his pay will go up a little. But to get to $2m he'd have to be the starter and win a couple Playoffs rounds.

I've been putting Kaapo at 1.5-1.7. I think Fiala remains the problem. So, I think in this build we only have 5.5-6M for Fiala after Kaako. That means we'd need to take him to arbitration. But, I'd offer him 6Mx2 and see if he'll take it.
