No team is paying you to take Byron's contract off your hands.

Hard pass.

Detroit and Ottawa easily say no. They spend 4.25m and 3.4m a lot better without giving up assets.

This Petry to Detroit s@#$ was started by a wanna be reporter trying to draw hits to his 2 bit website. There is absolutely nothing concrete behind the rumor. The guy is a wanna be Eklund.

That’s a very easy no for NYR. If they wouldn’t package nils in for eichel, why would they for that heap

We wouldn’t pay to trade him either. 3.4M for one more year is not bad and it’s not like we are going to be competitive either next year. Just let him play and run out his contract. We wouldn’t need you to take on his contract

PLEASE STOP WITH THE PETRY TO WINGS. HE DOES NOT FIT THE REBUILD TIMETABLE AND WE SURELY ARE ATE NOT GUVING UP ASSETS TO GET HIM.

But it's habs fans who keep on proposing it... I mean, why would Ottawa (or any team) pay a 3rd round pick to get Byron when he cleared waivers multiple times?

Exactly, if the contract doesn’t put you over the cap there’s no reason to spend assets getting rid of it. I guess maybe the poster thinks Montreal will be competitive again next year and they’ll need the space 🤷🏽‍♂️

Well those habs fan don’t know what they are talking about. They are so obsessed with rebuilding/clearing cap that they don’t even think logically. It makes no sense for habs to pay to get rid of him.

As a Habs fan, it must be hard to deal with this but at the same time quite entertaining lol

A very large fanbase so you have all kinds, and every portion is bigger than you'd normally see so... that's what we get.

Yes. Some of the things on here by my fellow habs fans are just ridiculous.

Keep up the good fight, show them how to be rational and reasonable!

Some of my good friends are Habs fans and many people I play hockey with too.

I live 15-20 mins away from the Bell Center, I feel bad for fans but people have to remember it's an entertainment.

The hate for Carey Price I have heard last night on the radio was disgusting. After that people wonder why people don't want to play in this market lol
