What is this supposed to be? I don't get why people come on here, and instead of trying to make real conversation, make this kind of posts

Nick s: it's no from Minnesota's perspective. They wouldn't give up those pieces for bad player and contract
Neither of any of those deals are anything for a team who doesn't have any room for them

    None of these happen.

And holy overpay for Schmaltz. I would hesitate to give that up for Miller, let alone Schmaltz. That's the type of player you give up those assets for, and this definitely isn't it.

Schmalz isn't worth much. He's not a c. He's a Winger. He's also one of the worst contract in NHL. Minnesota wouldn't be interested. Also rask doesn't need to be traded. He's a free agent @ year's end.. cap isn't an issue this year

    Rask/cap dump, AHL'er or D-level to C-level prospect, and a 2nd.

    Schmaltz isn't worth a 1st.

But it likely won't be from us.

    Oilers accept.

Why would they? If Archibald is coming back why would the Oilers trade him for a 6th? That makes zero sense.

Because we don’t need someone who didn’t believe that covid was real on our team

More or less. Although Giroux's on the high-end of that spectrum. But it doesn't change the fact that Schmaltz isn't a need or something we should be interested in. He doesn't move a needle. If we make a move for a center it'll likely be for one of Miller, Hertl, Pavelski or Giroux. The only thing the team really needs right now is a legitimate top six center option for the Fiala/Boldy line.

    Again, Schmaltz isn't it.

If he can help for a playoff run I don't give a **** what he believes. He's worth more than a 6th.

He scores 12 goals / 20 points a season, PK's and brings energy and physicality. A 6th is virtually worthless.
