Ristolainen is too important a piece to move. Right up there behind Eichel imo

Agreed. Even if value was fair, they need Risto. He should be an untouchable for Buffalo.

You'd be crazy not to take that. Risto is literally one of the best young dmen in the league. In the same category as Ekblad, Parayko, Trouba etc. Plus he's a RH dman which Toronto needs.

Toronto needs RHD, so the solution is to trade away Zaitsev - their best RHD? Makes perfect sense.

Ristolainen is good, but perhaps somewhat overrated. He's not yet elite.

I don't see trading Nylander unless it's a deal that blows management away...zaitsev being in this deal still prevents solidifying the D

In my opinion it would take more than that to get ristiolainen.

Its a stupid trade for both sides... Buffalo needs MORE D, not another scoring C/W
And Although Toronto needs a RHD, they wouldn't give up Zaitsev to acquire one...

And as previously mentioned Yes, Ristolainen is overrated... HUGE potential don't get me wrong and he already is playing big minutes on a poor defensive team, but if you look at his D impact, it is terrible
What that means is that Buffalo D are worse when playing with Ristolainen then they are with other D

If your on twitter, this guy has some good advance stats and explains them well
