No chance VAN takes that imo. There's just nothing interesting in that package, just a bunch of mid-level assets and a pending UFA.

Fabbri is a decent middle 6 guy, better suited for 3rd line. Can be re-signed, but keep in mind that Boeser is coming without a contract for next year also.
Lindstrom is going to be a decent NHL dman, but of course not a star.
Tuo is a good prospect. Good potential to become middle pairing.

Sure, none of those guys are Boeser, but why would I send a Boeser equivalent plus more? smile The idea behind this is sending a two pieces that will provide solid depth and a couple futures for a guy that likely forces a trade or a big contract that VAN can't afford after EP & Hughes.

Here's the thing - no team is going to move their star players for "decent middle-6 guys" and what if -projects of lower potential. They want something far sweeter than that. You haven't sent anything even close to Boeser equivalent here. Just a bit earlier there was a NYI fan who suggested trading Dobson+1st+2nd for Boeser. That's a gross overpayment, but still lot closer than this.

Nucks might be forced to move the guy due to monetary reasons, but should Detroit be after the guy the bare minimum they should offer is Veleno+2022 1st, and then start the discussions from that.

I wouldn't hate moving Veleno or Ras, but I didn't include them because VAN has plenty of C depth in EP, Horvat, and Miller.

Also, DET won't give up a likely top 10 pick for a winger when their biggest need is a C. Just thought I'd test the waters.

Miller is also in trade rumors and Horvat has only two years left too. Their future centers are also bit lacking. I think they would benefit from acquiring a young one.

I feel if you aren't offering Hronek then it needs to start at 2023 1st + Berggren and then more

I wonder if something like 2023 1st + Rasmussen + Berggren would be something the Canucks would like? Considering they are not alot of teams with spare RD right now, which would be their biggest need I would assume.

Can we just go back in time and draft him instead of Svech?

Come on now. I will whole heatedly agree this package isn't even close to enough to land Boeser, but these are FAR from garbage pieces. Fabbri is a very good middle 6 guy, Lindstrom is criminally underrated (he's not flashy, but he's a human eraser defensively and easily our best defensive-defenseman) and Tuomisto is still a plus prospect with a pretty decent ceiling.

Once again, not enough HIGH end pieces at all and quantity does not equal quality, but calling them garbage is just flat out wrong.

That's decent, but it doesn't seem like Benning is one to commit to a rebuild, even if he definitely should, so that trade seems fairly unlikely.

Wouldn't mean a rebuild, Rasmussen is a NHL forward, needs some help with confidence I think though. Berggren is NHL ready, playing very well in the AHL right now.
Depending on how we draft, Hronek might be expendable if we draft Jiricek or Nemec as RHD instead of a centre.
Hronek and Berggren could be a decent return with some fine tuning. Add a pick or player here or there, maybe take a contract back like Hamonic since moving Myers might be difficult.

Not a rebuild, per se, but that'd suggest at least a retool. Moving core players usually mean just that.

Also moving Boeser would suggest that they'd also likely deal the likes of Miller and Pearson as well.

I don't see Horvat not getting resigned so I don't think he will ever go anywhere. Pearson I don't think can be moved right now, Miller would be great too have but doesn't fit Detroit's timeline. Miller could also be resigned as well if they don't find an outstanding trade for him.
