Why trade Bozak? Don't the Leafs have enough cap.? Hasn't he been a valuable member of the Leafs? Not saying he should be resigned in summer of 2018, I just don't understand players that can help, traded for a pick that might have no meaning and it won't help for another four years.

Maybe so, but I would more impressed if there was some improvement to the team, instead of just a trade for picks. And there is no proof that Nylander is a valid centre. And want to go into next year with just Matthew, Kadri and Fehr as established NHL centres? I'm sure the Leafs don't.

I think it's time to move on from Bozak and Jvr. Their lack of defense is beyond painful....Alzner would need more term and possibly more money to determine done. Also brown and Hyman should be for longer term so they are not due at same time as Matthews and Marner. Zaitsev probably takes a bit more money as well.

Yeah i seriously doubt that 1 year of JVR gets you 3 years of Vatanen, That's not happening.

Don't understand why everyone thinks this. Our centre depth is terrible and aside from Nylander (who isn't ready and may never be a true centreman) theres NOBODY to replace him.

Bozak is a leader, 45-50 point 2/3 centre, has good chemistry with Marner. So unless were actually getting a D for him, losing him isn't worth a 2nd.

So i'm wondering why you think its time to move on?
