To B's or not to B's

Created by: Moog121
Team: 2017-18 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 3, 2017
Published: Mar. 3, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hoping Vegas takes some salary but if not...here we go. See if strong skating/shooting Senyshyn can make the jump with vets Bergy/Marchy. Is McAvoy ready?? Tight cap makes B's hurry prospects especially if Spooner is resigned.

If Senyshyn is ready, that is the perfect spot for him to play. Bergy can hopefully help mitigate any rookie mistakes.

I like the outcome given your scenario. I think the B's will have to shed salary somehow even if Vegas doesn't take Hayes, K Miller or Quaider. They need to try and get Pasta locked up on a contract with a lot of term. 5 mil won't cut it. Up the salary and term and the contract looks like a steal in a few years.

If Senyshyn is ready for the Bergy/Marchy line and Pasta-Krejci-Cehlarik stays intact, it makes Backes' 6 mill harder to look at on the third line with the tight cap

Friedman came out with a piece that says the Bruins tried to move Beleskey at the deadline, but couldn't find a buyer. He thinks it's something they'll revisit in the offseason and says ANA may be a destination. He does say it will require creativity and/or retaining his salary. Creativity would mean packaging him with a prospect, at least imo. If you could get his whole 3.8M hit off the books, then I'd give up a spec (not a top guy).
