Don't see Coyle or K. Hayes being exposed. They will be traded before that happens. Now Boyle and J. Hayes is another storynod.

Halak is a UFA he doesn't need to be traded away with our top prospect.

Severson will be protected for sure, as will Coyle, Granlund, and Hayes. I also expect that Tyler Meyers is protected

1. You're probably right about Severson. Who do you let go though if not him? Merrill?
2. I left Coyle unprotected because the Wild have tons of depth down the middle and less so on the wings, so I went with Zucker instead. They also have 2 quality d that will be available so it's really a pick your poison scenario.
3. The Rangers have to let someone besides Grabner go who qualifies. They'll likely make a move (I'd guess, as none of us actually know), but as of now they haven't and I'm not sure what that move would be.
4. I left Myers unprotected because he's had a long-term injury that I'd heard was REALLY bad and then they'd keep the extra forward. However, if the injury isn't as bad as talking heads had indicated, you're probably right.
5. Halak is totally under contract for another year and they can't give him away. I'd also contend that Pulock is no longer anywhere close to their top prospect (though obviously I still value him) and offering him up protects Hamonic/Hickey/De Haan, all of whom are better and quite well priced.
6. Of the things to pick apart in this list, I'm surprised no one has questioned Ekholm > Ellis.
7. Granlund is a replacement player to me. That being said, I suppose they would take him over Gaunce. I stuck with the latter because he's younger and a 1st rounder, for what it's worth. Maybe I'd take a redo on that one.
