Description

Would have loved to see Rangers try to trade Klein/Holden/Grabner with this type of market. They could have definitely fetched back solid assets. Pavel better be brought back up or I'm going to be pretty mad. He deserves to be in the top 9. The playoffs are going to be interesting. Need that 1st wildcard because of the huge difference of playing the Atlantic instead of the Metro. Personally I'm hoping for a deep run and think if the Rangers get the 1st wildcard and stay healthy they have a chance but if they have to play PITT/ WSH, It will be difficult. Either way the Rangers should be in solid position to be top contenders next year if they retool the defense correctly. Find a way to get rid of Klein/Staal/Girardi. Re-sign Clendening and Smith and sign Shatty. Either way I can't wait for playoff hockey.

Don't know why you would want to trade Holden, Klein and Grabner. Rangers wouldn't have got back any immediate help that was any better. Rangers have to go with their best squad right now if they have possibility to reach the final 4.

Yeah Grabner and Holden and been STEALS contract wise. Both have one additional year remaining and each are paid 1.65M. Just GREAT contracts.

Trade Klein because he simply isn't good anymore and Clendening is better. I think with the market being so crazy they should have at the very least see what they could have got for Holden and Grabner. Holden is on a good contract but isn't that good and the offense in the beginning of the season could have improved his value. I think they should consider selling him in the summer depending on what they can get. In regards to Grabner, he's pointless in the last 7 games and is riding a crazy unsustainable 19% shooting percentage.I love Grabner but how do we know he is doing this next year. If they could've gotten a right handed defenseman, 1st rounder, or top prospect for him I would have been down.
