Danault prolly requesting a trade for being a third C and not first line...he did it w the Habs. Plus no point in getting Danault if ur trading for Eichel, just let Byfield and Valardi play that third/fourth C.

Even with the medical issue, this is a fleecing by the Kings. Rangers, Vegas, and Wild have better offers than this.

Danault has already said that he doesn't care if he plays at 2C or 3C, as the only difference is "a couple of minutes." He just wants to be able to play a more offensive role and not solely play a defensive game.

That being said, I don't think the Kings are in the market for Eichel. There's no way that Buffalo accepts this trade, even if they were.

There are four players in the Kings system that will not be traded under any circumstances. Byfield, Bjornfot, Anderson, and Petersen. Even for Eichel.

LA has a critical shortage at LHD. Anderson and Bjornfot are their only two proven LHD in the system locked up to longer than this season. Neither will be traded, especially to bring in a center, the organization's single strongest position. If you want someone like Faber or Grans, the Kings might oblige. Anderson and Bjornfot are not available.
