As much as I love Brady Tkachuk, you're paying him like he's Alex Ovechkin or Jack Eichel.
You're also paying him almost 3 million per year more than his brother Matthew.
That's a bit much, don't you think?
love Brady but would rather trade him if he wants to be paid like the Kucherov/Point/Vasi/Ovechkin/etc

Sure but if you want Hertl we'll need Norris in return + a 1st and another prospect.. Just the way that will work.
Damn, that'd be a package for Eichel
Norris is off-limits unless it's for a big time player. Hertl is pretty good and I'd pay a good price to get him but wouldn't give up a key piece to get him as it would be pointless then. Picks and some prospects in positions that are a strength for the organization (like Brannstrom, Thomson, wingers, even goalies). Of course, Hertl would have to extend with Ottawa because that would also be pointless then.

It's definitely not a good trade, let's not get that confused. White is a fine player but probably tops out as a 3rd line guy on a good team. The Brown could reach his potential is kind of hilarious at this point. Philly would have to bet on him being like a Paul in Ottawa, I don't think that has any value to them.
You're right here but just want to note something about Logan Brown
With Covid (not playing in 10 months) and all his injuries, Logan lost a lot of playing time, he only played 1 NHL game last year. The last time he had the opportunity to prove himself in the NHL, he was still 21 y/o... so considering all this, it's like if he was still 21 y/o. It's a good gamble for any team looking at a "reclamation project". I have watched him a lot and he's way too talented to not figure it out so a team will end up being quite happy about this. And I think it won't be Ottawa
