Those trades are absolutely ridiculous. Columbus wouldn't do Jones for Weber straight up let alone for 3 picks and the number 3 overall pick from last year's draft.

Massive over payment for Weber. Thinking about what happens if Price looks like he wants to go to free agency is interesting though.

I don't understand the logic...of having to trade Price. Let's say the Canadians are really Cup contenders next February, do you trade Price? Do all other Cup contenders trade their upcoming UFAs too?

2 Points:

1. How are you signing Bo Horvat? He will likely be our next captain and he will sign a contract similar to Vincent Trocheck's.

2. Why would the Canucks trade all of that for a 31 yr old goaltender when they have Markstrom & Demko? Price is the best in the world and while I do think at one point he would have loved to play at home, I'm not sure he is going to want to play for a rebuilding team on the backside of his career. It would be a bad move for both sides. Vancouver is better off with 15-18 years of Miller, Markstrom & Demko then 3-5 of an elite level Carey Price.

3. Even if we traded for Price, that package is not logical - no goaltender would ever be worth all of that.
