none of the deals are that far off base, dumping salary for picks , allowing all these bubble teams the chance to add players for a run at the cup win win for everyone

Hawks would never retain on Seabs AND give up DeBrincat

they are paying 1.875 mill and dumping 8 mill in salary. i think that is a no brainer, i would switch debrincat for the first round pick but the draft is in Chicago and i dont think they will trade that

The only limitation to the logical extreme of stockpiling picks is that, in addition to the limit of 23-person limit on the NHL roster and the 50-person limit on NHL contracts is that there's a 90-person reserve limit (NHL contracts + minor-league contracts + unsigned players). Having that many picks pushes up against that 90-person limit, especially since the Coyotes have a lot of draft picks from recent years already.

I like most of it, just a couple things to change IMO. First, Chicago never retains salary on anyone, especially on a contract as long as Seabrook's. Second, I don't see McGinn going unprotected. They have so few players that are actually eligible for the expansion draft that are under contract next season that McGinn should be protected.

i could see the benefit in the picks, make deals to move up spots to grab the players we desire. maybe only pick half the amount of picks but pick great players , i think chicago is going to have to retain salary on someone. they are a good team but the holes are starting to become more noticeable

The Chicago deal is pure robbery. Even if you say that is the price for taking Seabrook, you have to remove the picks or DeBrincat.

Habs trade isn´t bad, but change the 1st in a 2nd or the 2nd in a 4th or 5th.

Is Richardson even slated to return this year? Tib/fib breaks aren't a minor injury.

I think he skated a little bit recently, but there's no real timetable for his return.
