Description
Before I get all the hate that gourde is not a number 1 center, I know but we need a center to bridge cozens or mittelstadt or Beniers. We could put Henrique there if that make you feel better. I think these moves make us in the playoff hunt and gives some much needed leadership and time for development. All the older players are on short term deals. I am most curious to see what the thought are on the Tampa trade. Please leave constructive thoughts. If nothing else this team has more leaders and is tougher to play against. The draft picks all go back to where they were playing last year or the Ahl for at least 1 more year of development. I left prospects on the big team so people know that we have them

Eichel is worth significantly more than Reinhart but here they got similar packages.

I also wouldn't leave Colin Miller open for expansion draft.

My thought on the Tampa trade is both Palat and Gourde have no trade clauses so good luck getting that to happen.

Not only does Buffalo leave Colin Miller available in the expansion draft, if necessary they add an extra pack to ensure he’s the guy Seattle takes.

We have to leave someone available. I would rather him than one of our younger players, prospects or picks. Thanks for the input. Who would you leave available instead?

I get that but, I’m more concerned about the value of the trade. Would it take more? They are all very solid to good players. Tampa is in a cap crunch and needs to shed at least 18 million just to get under the cap. That doesn’t include signing goodrow,Coleman or other Rfa,ufa’s

I don’t think that will be a problem but would be willing to work a deal if necessary

I'd protect 3 D. Dahlin, Jokiharju and Miller.

I'd leave Jake McCabe unprotected as there's no guarantee he will resign and no guarantee he would sign in Seattle should they take him.

I think Miller could fetch a 2nd round pick (albeit a lower one from a competitive team) at the TDL if he is half retained.

Bruh as a cbj/buf, when are Buffalo fans gonna stop thinking they are gonna get 5oa for Reinhart.

Hint - he's not coming with an extension.

Also, if we're trading for Reinhart we are planning on competing next year. So why the hell do so many Buffalo fans think were sending Elvis? Makes 0 sense, he's our starter. You don't compete by trading your starter

Buffalo will be protecting Borgen instead of Miller.

Wondering how you know that. He would get to play center for one of the best wingers in the league. You might be right but for this that’s what I went with. That he will come with a extension

Borgen is a 3rd pairing D and is already 24. He will likely never be as good as Colin Miller.

Eichel can't pass a physical and Reinhart comes with a cap dump. Neither packages are overpayments....

Because nobody wants to stay here anyways and hes never played on a team thats finished above SIXTH in their division and we just finished 4th last in the league. He isnt coming with an extension. And yeah Bjorkstrand is filthy but he isnt one of the best wingers in the league

Henrique is a cap dump going to Buffalo in the Eichel trade.

Imo not enough for Eichel here.

Reinhart package is fair if Reinhart signs to an 8 year contract but I doubt he negotiates a long term contract before being traded.

Borgen is a solid defense,he is younger and will cost way less for a almost identical player and Borgen is a better skater

Anaheim doesn't do that trade unless you take out the 2021 first.

Columbus wouldn't trade the fifth overall pick in this year's draft by itself for Reinhart's rights and one year of Ristolainen. But they might give you the Toronto pick and Marchenko for them.
